Sharon Z. (Robertson) Howell-Hursh 86, passed away June 8, 2017. Born April 3, 1931 in Emporia, KS. to Lois (Barackman) and James L. "Bud" Robertson of Howard, Ks. Sharon graduated from Climax High School in 1948. She moved to Wichita, KS. in 1950 where she worked at the Wichita Clinic, Belford Motors, Okmar Oil Co. and National Coop Refinery as a secretary. She also worked at Learjet Inc. as a secretary and administrative assistant from 1966, later retiring in 1997. She married Robert "Bob" Howell in 1952 and had a son, Steven J. Howell. After...

Sharon Z. (Robertson) Howell-Hursh 86, passed away June 8, 2017. Born April 3, 1931 in Emporia, KS. to Lois (Barackman) and James L. "Bud" Robertson of Howard, Ks. Sharon graduated from Climax High School in 1948. She moved to Wichita, KS. in 1950 where she worked at the Wichita Clinic, Belford Motors, Okmar Oil Co. and National Coop Refinery as a secretary. She also worked at Learjet Inc. as a secretary and administrative assistant from 1966, later retiring in 1997. She married Robert "Bob" Howell in 1952 and had a son, Steven J. Howell. After a divorce in 1967, she moved to Cheney, Ks. and was married to Jack R. Hursh in 1972 until 1991. Sharon enjoyed dancing, playing cards, reading and attending Trinity Church in Cheney, KS. Most of all she enjoyed time with family, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend and will be dearly missed. She was preceded by husbands, Robert and Jack; companion, Glenn Coble; parents; siblings, Tom Robertson and Shirley McKenna; and daughter-in-law, Sue Howell. Sharon is survived by son, Steve (Jana) Howell; grandchildren, Kaitlynn and Kramer Howell; nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 at Trinity United Christian Church in Cheney, KS.
